Description |
Full hull model of USCG Cutter "BEAR". Complete except sails in case. Steam barkentine BEAR built at Dundee, Scotland in 1874. The ship sailed as part of the United States Revenue Cutter Service and Coast Guard. It also served in the Spanish-American War and both World Wars. It foundered and sank in 1963. The wreckage was located by NOAA in 2021 off Nova Scotia. |
