Description |
Full hull model of USCGC BEAR, scale 1/8"=1'. BEAR was built in 1874 in Dundee, Scotland. In 1884 she was sold to the US and under the authority of the US Coast Guard worked in Alaska with stops in Seattle. BEAR also participated in numerous Arctic and Antarctic expeditions and served in WWI and WWII. She sank in 1963 off the coast of Nova Scotia. |
