Framed semi-circular painting of sailing ship DIRIGO. America's first steel 4-mast bark. Arrived Puget Sound in 1912 after rounding Cape Horn. Built in Bath, Maine, by Sewall and Company. In 1912 carried Jack London who based his "Mutiny on the Elsinor" on the passage. |
