2. BEAVER - 1 B/W photo of the tugboat BEAVER. BEAVER was built in 1835 for the Hudson's Bay Company by Green, Wigram, and Green in Blackwall, England on the River Thames, and was the first steamship in operation in the Pacific. BEAVER at one time was equipped with nine pound guns and was deployed to Fort Nisqually and San Juan Island during the mid 1800s; portside view.
